Having searched over a quarter million dollars in dimes, I was keeping track of finds but not anymore, no mercs this year yet, but that's because I've been hitting the cwr hard; searching boxes I believe my average was around 1 merc per $1.2K-$1.5K, or one every six boxes.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...

I've found about 20 Mercury dimes and a few barbers when I was on my Dime kick!! They are out there! |

In 6 years I've found 154 Mercs and 1456 silver Rosie's and 2 Barbers.

I have gotten one merc out of a register. None out of a box though.

Yinzi50: WOW! You must do a LOT of hunting!
I find a few a year but I just go through my cash registers at my store, not doing any CRH. Found several Roosevelt's in nice shape recently and "stole" 2 from my bank teller today.....I think she was saving them for herself by her reaction when I asked if I could buy them!

I found one a while back I also have found exactly one silver Roosevelt dime. At a ratio of one to one I think I'm pretty lucky (Correction I have found 2 Roosevelt dimes but I sold one.  ) Edited by Franklin Collector

Iv been roll hunting dimes for a couple years now here in Canada and have found one 1939 "p" Mercury dime, all the rest were Roosevelt's.  |

Just started dimes. 10 boxes searched in two weeks. 12 rosies and 1 1942 merc.

4 mercuries. One in a Coinstar reject tray, other 3 from CWRs, maybe $500 total. I usually get $150 CWRs at a time. About 80% of the time find at least a rosie.

I've only done one box of dimes, and in the very first roll I cracked open there was a 1945D Merc. Later on, a 1946 Rosie.
No Mercs ever in my change, though once in a great while I'll score a silver Rosie.

Per my old records when I searched dimes, I found 111 Mercs and 935 roosies. About 8.5 roosies to every one merc.
Also found two barbers.
