Those are about as perfect as an old 100+ year coin can be!

How, just how...? You can barely find coins a fraction of that age in that grade. What's the value?

Beyond impressive photos, absolutely stellar examples that any of us would be proud to own.

I can certainly appreciate coins like that but I really don't want to own them-- too much responsibility regarding security and storage. I'm way too scatterbrained and would probably forget where I hid them. If there were advanced degrees for 'pack-rat-ology' I would have a PhD.. which truly stands for 'Piled Higher and Deeper'.

Quote: How, just how...? You can barely find coins a fraction of that age in that grade. What's the value? The Seated dollar and Trade dollar both have PCGS priceguide values of $150,000 each. If/When they sell at auction, I would expect quite a bit more than that. The Seated dollar for example is the new top pop, and the second highest graded is only a PR-67 without the cameo designation.

The guy that got on the plane with the million dollar coin in his shirt pocket must have driven you nuts. I can't find the story right now but I believe it was a Half Disme.

You have to remember that a PR69 seated coin is probably the equivalent of a PR67 or so for a modern. Different series are graded differently.
Nonetheless, they are quite simply outstanding coins.
