What does the reverse look like? I see a weakness on the rim of the obverse at 12:00-2:00. If the reverse is showing weakness opposite this area that might be more interesting.

In my opinion, it looks like a punch to the nose left a crease on Jefferson's face. I think that the placement, shape, and that it's a worn in gouge/scratch gives the appearance of doubling but just PMD unfortunately.

Coop is a resident expert, so let's see what he'll call it.

Not sure but it looks as if there is something other then PMD going on here.

It might be the lighting but it looks as if the jaw line and some doubling on some of the hair as well.

The reverse looks like the 'M' in Monticello is a lot thicker as well and softening on the REV rim at 6 and 8/9 o'clock.

Waiting on Coop for something though.

I'm no expert. Not even close.

If you could take an image of a normal face area with an exact size of the face on your coin, it would be nice to see the two side by side. So far it looks like the devices are normal in size, but a SBS would be helpful to see if we are missing anything.

Still away from my computer. But I would make sure what you have before trying to sell it. A buyer would like to know for sire what it is before buying it. Less chances of a negative feedback that way. Have you tried variety vista to see if anything is listed as a doubled die for this yet? If so, then you might try marker information. But I would wait to know for sure.
