After further consideration, the Roosevelt dime just has to go. Thinking of the Ike dollar, wouldn't it be interesting if they brought it back with a picture of Ike from South Park? But that would require the government bureaucrats to have a sense of humor -- but the mental image is self-amusing.

Just trying to have some fun with this thread.

Least favorite, man that's tough. I really like the Washington quarters compared to you guys. I was born in 93 so I really didn't grow up with them compared to the state/ATB quarters, which I dislike.

I'm not a fan of just printing pictures in metal. I like the artistic creation that was put into coins.

I do not like the Shield Cent and the current Jefferson nickel (the one where he's looking at you). He doesn't look flattering to me.

The current 2006-up Jefferson nickel marries a blah new-age obverse portrait to the uninspired 1938 Monticello reverse.

The "Art-Deco" Monticello reverse proposed in 1937 would make for a great upgrade!

I'd be interested to know more about the proposed art deco Monticello design.

I dislike the obverse of the Peace dollar. The chick on the Morgan is way better looking than the hag on the Peace dollar. Minted to celebrate WW-1 peace, she doesn't look very happy plus she has a boxers nose

The Peace dollar liberty may have a boxer's nose, but at least she doesn't have the Morgan Liberty's Jay Leno chin!

Chain cent obverse. Good heavens, I'd have believed it was the head of Medusa if only the hair strands were snakes. Ugh.

A pic of a Unc example was posted in over in the Korean forum, and people said it looked like a gaming token.

New nickels, shield cents, Roosevelt dimes, Ike Obverse, Franklin halves are all pretty ugly. Washington quarters a big snore. Liberty on Seated coins looks like a cartoon character.

Roosevelt dimes, the new Jefferson portrait, and the Shield nickel are all just a bit boring in my opinion. The Shield nickel was just boring because it didn`t have an actual person on it, and the Roosevelt is just too old to be good anymore.

Also, to answer hcmusicguy`s inquiry on the art-deco reverse, here is a repro produced from the original plaster mods: http://uspatterns.com/galminschlag.html

The front side design of the state and parks quarters is just way too cluttered. The designs on the back are very nice though.
