Shipping from RCM sometimes is full of mystery.

Maybe the plan is to get this coin for the 51st anniversary of the flag or 150th birthday of Canada.

Saw it in the CP....nice one. Elegant, simple, inexpensive. Didn't buy though

Mine says new order and I ordered it early in the release also. They're releasing so many coins that they don't have time to ship them all.

Quote: They're releasing so many coins that they don't have time to ship them all. To be fair, the RCM has gotten much better with their shipping timelines. For this coin, it's only been 12 days since March 20th - the first day orders could be shipped. I'm sure a little patience will be rewarded soon!

I have to agree, RCM is getting better with shipping. That being said, I still have not receive this coin. I saw some folk post real pictures of it on their ebay ads

For what it's worth, I ordered one from Canada Post's website (with free shipping) and received it last Thursday.
My wife and I like it very much!

The Mint is definitely better at shipping in 2015 than they were in 2012 but the frustration comes from ordering directly from the Mint and then having to wait, while those who buy from dealers (including CP have their coins already). I doubt CP commissioned this one (or any coin for that matter). They almost always receive the coins before those of us who order from the Mint. Saw a story on the news yesterday that reminded me where the inspiration for the coin might have come from.

I think it's the denomination that's a bit uncommon.

I just received my two Canadian Flag $3 coins - They look very nice. Even the packaging is a bit on the 'better' side, as it has a flip out top like a book - you'll understand when you see it. Inside, it shows the progression of the Canadian Flags since Confederation. I'm glad I picked these up.

I received mine yesterday. The colourization was nicely done - no pixels, solid color!
I bought the coin as a complement to the similarly-themed silver dollars that I picked up upon their release in January. It makes a nice addition to those coins.
