Well not dimes, but halves I would do 2x a week (but my wife won't let me :P) so I only get one a week for "half dollar night"

Out of curiosity what do you yeild for finds on ten boxes of dimes? I was always under the impression that boxes of dimes and quarters would be a beast to pull some silver out of.

The most I've done in one week for dimes' was 7000$. I did 1000$ more two weeks ago, but stopped as I moved to half dollars only now. I was averaging 2-3k a week for three months...I pulled over 108 silver dimes in that time.

I do 4-8 bags/month - depending on how fast the counters fill up. I average between 4-6 dimes/bag, so 1 - 1.5/box.

I have trained my pick up banks well, and get mostly CWR which in turn raises the average a lot. I am averaging between $1.50 to $2.00 of silver a week, for the past 3 months or so. Again, this is up in Canada, so the ASW is lower running from 50% to 80% silver coins.

And getting a box of Quarters with 100 silvers in it really helps the average out as well.

ah, I see the Canada tag now. I visited there 2 years ago and had a blast fishing and eating and drinking and panning for gold. The fishing was the best and the scenery :-)

Ive found 2 canadian silver dimes in 114 boxes. a 66 and a 64 :-)

100 silver quarters sounds pretty awesome!

I'll be starting Box #18 of Pennies & nickels this friday. So basically I've already went through 34-36 boxes, excluding the one or two boxes I had of SOLID 2014 cents.

My box goals are usually 52 boxes of cents, and 52 boxes of nickels. Last year I managed to complete that goal, within literally hours to spare. (I finish Box #52 at about 8:00 on December 31st 2014); that I will never forget.

Yes the goals. I remember I found my 80th and 81st War Nickel on December 31st 2014.

So a box of each a week. Good, steady pace.

I go through maybe three boxes of nickels a month. It's just a side fun thing.
