Quote: Saturday morning cartoons was an important part of the week for us kids. I am on the fence on which to purchase though, the 1oz set with the watch or the 1/2oz set with the additional characters. My budget only allows for 1 set. I'm leaning towards the 1oz set because I think it may retain more of it's value Do not spend relatively big money just because of nostalgia. You do not hunt for LT stamps or stickers, right? I think, nothing here will keep it's value (by this I mean to be offered for issue after couple of years). Better, choose the set if you really like all the coins in it, or buy the mix of the formats (2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz).

Quote: in my opinion, RFD represents the bottom feeders of the hobby (e.g., how many "flippers" there actually claim their profits as taxable income?) Ouch. I know elk hurt your feeling but there's no need to brand every users on RFD as the bottom feeders of the hobby. I wonder if you would feel the same to those flipping coins in this forum. Elk actually originally from this forum and he flip many coins before moving over to RFD. After all, this forum does have a feature that allow users to put their ebay Store name for others to buy coins from. As for claiming taxable income, you seems to forget there are those that flipping coins with a losses. People tend to forget that CCF and RFD are two different entities and thus cater to different users. I know there are folks from both forum think there's a clear simple choice, you either be in CCF camp or RFD Camp. In reality, many of us are in both camps and thus we visit both forums. there's no needs to bash each other. I visit both forums because they both caters to my needs and offer difference point of view on the hobby that I like. It's true, folks on RFD tends to focus more on the economic side of the hobby where as folks on CCF focus more on the hobby it self. There's nothing wrong with either sides. The way I look at it, the more I know, the better educated I am when come to deciding whether to buy the coin or not. It's easy to say buy what you like but when you have limited budget and family, you try to find ways to stretch out the money you have for the hobby. Back on LT Coins, I only liked and ordered the gold coin. I have to say I am a bit or slightly disappointed with the picture I saw yesterday on RCM site. I will wait to see the coin in hand and if it is pixilated, I'll return it. I am not sorry for doing that as it is my right to return or cancel the coins if I changed my mind. I know some are disappointed that they couldn't get some of these coins because people ordering it and cancelling it, but it is what it is. I like to complained that I can't get Tickets to the Sens's playoff game when it first released to the season ticket holder. As I am sure some of those that purchased the playoff tickets to resell or some sell them to their friends as the Sens are now 0-3 in this series. I can't complain as those season ticket holders have to endure many horrid games in the early part of the season and spend quite a few $$ for those season tickets. Those that get a chance to buy these coins early are those that had spend lots of money on coins to get the opportunity to buy these coins.

Quote:Both dealers on other forum said, that they ready to buy all the mintage of RCM coins** Lol I think that was tongue in cheek, as if too say they dont get 40% discount from the RCM but if they did they might buy more RCM coins or some such.

Just paid attention that because of Karina, my nick have been mentioned on other site. That's cool. But I am the man and can not be Karina.
I read it and immediately thought of Pocket_change .... she disappeared again. Will she miss the LT coins?

Silveroid...take cover if you head over to RFD forum as Karina is public enemy #1 on RFD... Some detective clown over there thinks he's a graphologist and he's betting you're Karina when we all know you're not!! Stay put here for awhile 'til the smoke clears over there...

I think it was the same guy wanting to buy 6 ghost coins for $40 each and free shipping lol, then says he is not a flipper...ya right...
Had the same broken English, which I believe was translated from French, plus when he /she first "appeared" it has Quebec as city/province then it was changed to Ottawa.
Eh who knows I guess.

Yeah, I had the same thoughts. Btw., I saw he/she initially from Quebec, but later on it was changed to Toronto. Is it Ottawa now?

Is this turning into the RFD gossip thread again?
I'm interested to see how the LT coins will do upon general release.
