That '96 is a really nice one, good shot at a 66. 65+ except on Fridays, then it is a 66. Lock 65, though, at the very least. You have got some really nice Morgans.

I would buy coins like that for 64 money all day, every day.

64 on the 96' too. The luster looks to be somewhat weak.

all depends on the day of the week and graders working. they're very inconsistent.

@fenton. Yeah, I thought they would go higher, but as stated above the 98 got MS65, the 96 got unc details cleaning

I would have thought the 98 would have been a sure MS-66, and I can't see even a hint of cleaning on the 96. Maybe they detected some residue?

I would've though 65,66,65

Should check for VAM on the 1886. There is a lot going on with that coin.

Wow that grading seems wildly inaccurate - who did the grading and do you have their photos? Seem like good candidates for a crack out and resubmit to a different grader.

After a quick lookup, it looks like the 1886 is VAM 6B. However, I don't own it anymore.

Maybe you are just amazing at photographing coins - does look more like an MS-65 in the NGC photo.
