Thanks, Coinfrog.
Steve is busy now, so I hope he won't mind if I send him a PM. I'll send him one tonight.

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing. Does that mean there's no more way of getting it?

Message the seller and make him an offer
However, he could have ended it because someone else did just that

I did PM Steve about this last night. He hasn't replied, but he might have seen the listing. Aaand looks like I'll need an ebay account to do that. I don't have the time right now with midterms coming up.

Maybe Steve got it? Or told the guy it's bogus and he took it down?

I guess you can say that if you're feeling optimistic about it. But who knows?

I don't know much about how ebay works, the item numbers are different but the pics are the same.

It was at $40 auction style. Now it's $40 buy it now. For some reason he wanted to change it. Who knows why exactly but possibly to have it sell before it's removed

If it was a $20 BIN I would probably get it, but it's close to CAN$60 now with shipping. I want it, but it's too expensive, even with the interesting factor of having an identical one.

The relisting on a "buy it now" basis remains up.

Why go to the trouble of trying to sell a fake and common Morgan on ebay? $40 is not even worth the effort. The pattern on the coin is weird.

The reason I bought that fake Morgan at the flea market was because it was a common date - I didn't suspect a thing. If it was something rare like a 1893S, I would pass. 252136997800It got relisted it at $5 less. If he keeps lowering the price, down to $20, I might go for it.

Fake die clash can be easily manufactured at home with a simple screw press and another Morgan dollar to put on top or behind the target coin. You can also just create fake clash dies and cast fake clashed forgeries.
