Hi,

I am looking for an honestly worn 1914 Barber half in the G-VG range. I saw this on ebay but noticed that the area where a mint mark might be appears a little "busy". Are there other diagnostics? Do you think this one is an authentic 1914?

I see what your saying, but I just can't tell if it's a removed MM.
Maybe there are diagnostics that the experts can see.

Whenever in doubt, it's wise to err on the side of caution. This is a fairly common coin, the bidding seems spirited, so why not wait for a less suspicious piece? Check out your local coin shows.

They are more common than you think. A lot were plucked out of circulation in the G-VG range. I'd wait until u find a nicer one on that you can examine in hand.
