Amazing finds! I hope I get to do a little more CRHing this year. I like to keep stats too.

This year I have decided to add some stats, I have been pulling all of the US coinage from the rolls and I found a bank in the USA that has a coin counter so I go down and switch out the US change to bills and then exchange that back here in Canada, making the 40+ %. last year I had about $4000 in US change, its really crazy how much is up here. Also note, I found over 20 silver dimes in circulation up here, along with a silver 40% half dollar (still looking for the US Silver quarter though...) I actually found 14 more silver us dimes over the past 2 weeks (including to Mercury dimes).

Those are truly some impressive stats and the best of the best finds! $222,165 is a noticeable dent on the total amount of circulating coins in Canada; that must have taken a lot of time to complete.

Shoeplier, you were looking at the 6 month totals the end totals were:
Denomination Pennies $7,130.00 Nickels $24,443.00 Dimes $107,375.00 Quarters $249,850.00
Total $508,811.00
I was really hoping to break $250,000 in quarters, but the last 2 weeks of 2015 all of the banks around me decided they were going to take 4 day weekends

So let me get this straight. Not only are you making money finding silver in Canada, but you are also making border runs with american coins and turning a 40% profit?! Nice! That is like a bonus of all bonuses!!

I did one run in October, and it was for almost $2500 in US change, this was from approximately 4 months of roll hunting. I had thought maybe $1200 to $1400, I was extremely surprised.
The guy at the bank said I just broke the record of $2000.

Wow wish I had that much patience. And all the rolls of quarters did you get those for face value? If so what a haul.

All of these were bought at the bank for face value. the huge estate score, was actually held specifically for me. the person depositing them told the teller they had taken all of the this including silver dollars and 50 cent pieces to a local coin club to offer for sale.
He could not find any buyers for the quarters or dimes, but sold all the dollars and halfs. I could not imagine being at a place and someone not offering at bare minimum face value for them.
weird.

Finding a 1973 large bust quarter is amazing. You are probably more likely to win a major lottery prize. Congrats! Hard to imagine how you managed to sort through 10 million quarters in a year. Your effort was rewarded.
