There are a couple of different 20 cent piece varieties. Is it medal or coin axis? You may want to get this moved into the Canadian forum.

I'm from Woodstock, have a couple of the Miramachi Coin Club tokens.

Nice sent a photo here as your re punched I in GRATIA is not listed ---http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?coin=20-cents-1858&years=20-cents-1858-1858

Also I would think VF30-40

Thank you all for the comments. I'm not sure about medal or coinage, I forget the difference but it is flip on the reverse. If the "I" isn't listed would it be recognized by graders?

...and I moved it again, into the variety forum, and added an addendum to your thread title to catch the attention of the variety crowd. There are a few "Blundered I" fans here...

Great looking coin!
VF30 with a nice circulation cameo contrast.
Blundered I in GRATIA variety.
Not much interest in the three different blundered I varieties of this coin, so they don`t usually command much of a premium. The price is entirely driven by how many are looking vs. how many are available.

This is a Canada 20 cent, listed in Charlton (around page 42) ---Blundered variety, population about 150. Premium around $50. Yours worth about 400-500 CDN. There are 2 varieties, blunder on Victoria and Gratia. The third one listed by Charlton has never been seen or sold in ebay and does not look like a blunder. Your E on dei looks like grease struck.

Possible die crack on the E of dei----interesting possible "dropped I" on the I. Slight doubling on the D.

There is a small premium for the "blundered I" over a normal one, but not much. Full retail is $250 or a little more, so actual value is less than $200.

Just thought I would post a couple more close ups of some other letters that look funny to me.
