Quote: I bet this is a great looking set in hand, I don't see any coins I would be to concerned about upgrading. Many of those coins are as good or better than mine. And I am very happy with my set. I agree.

Quote: JRG - the only reason I make reference to problem coins is the difficulty in selling them when you finally DO decide to upgrade. Twice bought is usually money lost. This is very true.. I mostly collect because I appreciate art and coins are art to me. As long as there isn't a major problem or distraction, I can usually achieve higher grades that retain more of the sculpture and design, that I would not have been able to afford otherwise. I realize my approach might put me in the minority of collectors though.

Quote: Pixlr is a great editing tool for coin pics. Easy to use. Are you using a photo dome or is the light source coming in from above at a slight angle? Yup! Light source, slight angle, I soften it with a sheet of paper

A little more info on the photography? Did you remove coins to take picture? What lens? Light source? I'm trying to take pictures of my 7070 set, and could use some help.

Sorry for the late reply, I use a Nikon d3300, 18-55mm kit lens with a 12mm extension tube. I have it mounted on a tripod. Jansjo lamp from IKEA. I soften the light with various sheets of paper. The coins are out of the album and placed on a grey card, I think it's 35%. It's not a very complicated setup and my images aren't perfect but it works for me!
