Hopefully eBay/PayPal have an option for refunding fake items?

ebay's Buyer Protection policies will come into play here if the coin does turn out to be a fake.

Post clear images once the coin arrives - folks here will then be able to better determine its genuineness. If it is indeed a fake, you should be able to work directly with ebay to get your money back.

I'm late to the party ... adding as well my concerns about authenticity.

There are quite a few counterfeit classic silver commemorative out there ... and the counterfeit Grant issue appears with some regularity on ebay.

Adding one piece of detail to commems comments ... Laura Gardin Fraser initial under the obverse portrait is incuse on a genuine example ... it's difficult to counterfeit an incuse object.

Return policy or not .... you can get your money back (if the example is indeed counterfeit) by opening an ebay claim as SNAD.

I'd be interested in an accurate weight and in-focus photographs once you get the coin in hand ... then we can really help you on a determination of authenticity.

Have not received the coin yet, but do you have a picture of the initials and where they should be?

nickelsearcher is correct. Suggest you start by contacting the seller and saying that you would like to return the coin, but will file a SNAD claim with ebay if he does not agree. Chances are he will square with you rather than face a hassle. You must do this (and await a couple of days for a reply) before contacting ebay. Take it slow and easy and keep us informed.

FREE ADVICE:

Returning a coin (or any product) to a seller that "does not accept returns" should always be done within the framework of ebay's Money Back Guarantee program, regardless of what the seller says or promises. If you return the coin on your own, and the seller does not refund, then you have to open a case anyway.

What possible benefit is there (for you, the buyer) to conducting the return without involving ebay?
If a seller sells you a counterfeit coin, why take risks of additional hassles? The ebay MBG is easy and makes sure you get your refund.

If you return it, be SURE to get online viewable tracking.

It would appear that our collective suspicions regarding the coin being a counterfeit have been confirmed. Time to send it back!

Remember to work through ebay's Buyer Protection program to ensure that you get your money back.

Please keep us informed of your progress so that others can learn from your experience.

First I should message the seller correct? Or how do I message the ebay folks directly?

Contacted seller:

"A fake? um if you say so. Return the original item to me and I will refund the full amount plus your return shipping"

Does this mean I should proceed with refund? Or shall I still contact ebay?

I strongly suggest you work within the ebay system ... alert them first ... and when you are ready to ship the 'coin' back by all means purchase tracking in order to prove (if needed) that it was indeed delivered.

Hopeful that there is some growth in this for you.
