It refers to the same thing Terry....  Though I do not have one, I vaguely remember a "colourised" set of US quarters with different cities/landmarks on the reverse of each coin. One of the coins in this set had the Sydney Opera House. |

Not a bad idea Crystalk64. Let me know when your going to form the "National Committee for Outhouse Restoration". Maybe we can get a commemorative surcharge to restore Elvis's outhouse in TN.  catman |

Well Catman, I am not very fond of Elvis and his estate is already making way to much money so we will have to concentrate our efforts on the restoration elsewhere and probably should form the C & C Restoration Foundation to rake in all those surcharges to take care of our newly restored outhouses. We could cut tourists drive time by doing at least two restorations, say one in Indiana and one in Nevada in our efforts to please everyone in the nations. If we make enough we can do the Outhouse Museums and giftshops at both locations as well. Won't be long before these two HOT tourists attractions will be drawing them in from all over the world. Laying all jokes aside, there is a little burg down south (Indiana) that claims to have a two story outhouse. Been through there but somehow I missed it! What a wasted opportunity as I would really of liked to see just how that one worked! None the less I am sure we can find reputable people right here on this forum to help design our Outhouse Commemorative Coin(s) and in the END it will be something we can all be proud off! Looking forward to this great effort and can't wait to get ahold of my Congressman!!!

Old Dan, Only you, my friend, could have possibly known about such literature! That is just MORE proof we need a commemorative coin to celebrate our U.S. Outhouses as they really are no different than any politician I ever known. They are both full of ______! You may fill in the blank as you see fit! And, we keep minting commemorative coins for them so why not the outhouse commemorative? The only other MAJOR differences between the two are outhouses were very much in demand and when you dealt with them, well you knew exactly where you stood (or sat) and what your business was and hopefully you got the proper outcome or end results that you were seeking. You don't get any of that with a politician! It is WAY past time for our Outhouse Commemorative Silver and Gold coins!!! We will ALL have to climb on board and start bombarding our Senators and Congressmen immediately to get things rolling on this historic and timely issue!!!

Well someone has finally found a use for the Kennedy half dollar. That is almost as bad as the Tennessee Statehood Quarters with Elvis on them and I really can't believe what people will pay for a quarter with a decal plastered on it! We have all heard the old saying "A fool and his money is soon parted!" |

Come to think about it, won't this be deemed to be "defacing" of legal tender  I am not familar with the laws of the US, but in OZ it is punishable under our Curriencies Act. It was not that long ago when one of our top dealers had to withdraw from sale the silver roos that he had colourised. Now those "coloured" roos are sought after by collectors down under. |

In the U.S. the law states "in an effort to defraud" or something of that effect. You can do what you like as long as you don't claim it is something it is not. They (the government) has cracked down on misleading advertising in the past year and put a halt to one issue that claimed it was legal tender when in it was nothing more than a money making scam! Every once in a while they try to do something right but we don't hold our breath waiting!

Yes, HUGE photos in our Knight outfits but we got to get those funds off of that OUTHOUSE COMMEMORATIVE to fund the museums!!! It all hinges on Congress doing what is RIGHT by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE and of the PEOPLE! I am sure we can count on cooperation from our elected representitives! Yeah, right!!!
