That new P mintmark is going to take a bit getting used to. Those marks right above the shield are Feeder Finger Damage.

Yeah - brand new cents are he'll on the eyes. You start seeing things that aren't there.

When searching a lot of the same coins, I try to make it interesting. I sort them according to the die markers. If there is a doubled die, then I just search for that marker. If It is nothing, I remember that marker and look for it on a coin. If it is there, it goes away quick. No need to look at everything else, Find the worthless marker and chuck it. Eventually you will be able to spend a few seconds on a roll. No need to keeping looking when you see the marker. I used to get one roll from each box they have and look at them roll to see of they missed something or not. (Of course I get to keep the varieties) I give them a report on the roll. What is there and what is not worth keeping.

These are going for close to 10 cents in bulk! Can you believe it?

You play up the P on it, and you should be able to get five bucks a roll.

I'll have to wait until later in the year to get mine.

I live in Iowa so getting the P mint marks are almost impossible unless you buy them.

These are being played up and hoarded so much, they will never hold the value they are currently selling for.

The only way they will be worth anything over one cent is it the mint suddenly stopped making them, but that is unlikely to happen.

I can, however, get the D mint cents here pretty abundantly. If someone with Philly cents would like to do a trade, PM me, but as for paying five bucks a roll for Zinc cents, that's a fad that will only lose collectors money over a very short time.

I can't get Lincolns anymore since they took our cent out of circulation. Its very depressing to look at that box and know I won't see any of them.

Totally agree, CWB. Definitely not worth that price, but I felt the first person to post rolls on ebay would be able to ask for and receive that price. When I last checked, someone was selling ten rolls for $75, and the auction 08Blond just linked is at $237 for the box. Would I ever pay anything close to it? Of course not, but if someone is able to get a box at face, and there's the demand for it, why not feed the demand? You're not setting the market price since others have already set it.

Of course I'm not going to be able to do this since I haven't seen a 2017 coin yet.

Freaked me out a bit when I first saw it, and read that it was on purpose that they did not, in fact, tell anyone they were going to do that.

Well, I'm in Australia & I remember reading about the P MM somewhere in the last couple of weeks.

It was more than likely on this forum.
Found it!

Haven't heard for 2017 but Phila did 4.7 billion in 2015. Just picked up 5 rolls for $15. Also, 2018 will not have the "P"

Oh my god I've been behind the ball on this one

I was reading Coin World and saw an add for 2017 P Lincoln cents and I was VERY confused and then I realized that I somehow missed this...

Sorry for the bump but WOW.
