@fredcsr, first welcome to CCF. Second, while I agree that a better pic is very important, I would add that holding a coin with metal tweezers is probably not a great idea. You are correct not to use bare fingers to avoid transferring oils and fingerprints to the coin, but the tweezers might scratch the coin (also bad).

There might be something interesting here, but without better pics - specifically higher resolution, closer to the coin. If you're using a phone, try bracing it against something like an inverted drinking class and use the camera's zoom feature. Try to get it so the camera's viewfinder is filled by the coin, Take several shots, then use the editing tools to crop out all but the areas that are of interest.

Maybe I'm not explaining it well. Somebody else?

Oh, and BTW, to the CCF.

to the forum!

The coin looks damaged to me. If I had to guess, I would say it was dipped in some sort of cleaner or had a wire brush used on it.
Metal tweezers will ruin the collector value of a coin, but in this case, I think the damage was already done when it was cleaned.

First off thanks for the welcome.
As for the coin I will ask my son (who has a better phone) to take some pics. for me.
I will all so be including a picture of another penny that looks just plain weird and see what you all have to say about it.
Both coins where found in a bag of 5,000+ Wheat penny's bought from US Auctions...
Once again thank you

I don't think that it is M.D
From what I have read (10 min ago) and from all the pictures I have seen my coin does not fit the pattern of M.D
The letters and face are not M.D nor is there any drag marks.
Just the broken lines under Liberty and on the back side of the 9 as well as the 4 and 8...
I could be wrong but what does every one else think?

Once again thanks for all the feed back, as for what I think the marks on the coin are I have no idea.
I just know there not supposed to be there.
So next question is where can I go to find out one way or another if the coin is an error or not?
I live in Indianapolis IN.
Any and all help will be welcomed.

Your best bet is to post much better pics here. You could go to a LCS,but odds are you won't find one that knows about errors/varieties.

To me it looks like die wear doubling. (unsure if that is the correct name for it)

It is neither classic Machine Doubling nor a doubled die. I have seen several like this (always Lincoln Cents) and have been told it is caused by a worn die.
