Debrajc ... thank you for the information. I am just about done ( yeah right ) with my collecting all the type and world coins i'll ever need, at least for now and my retirement project will be Jeffersons to the end. I already have all my Franklins in capsules so I might get a folder for that. This was a great product report as well as a wonderful show and tell!

@TheNickelGuy....super congrats on your retirement! I hope to get there one of these days. I'm 61 1/2 I don't think I will ever be done with my collection. The Franklin set is also nice displayed in these albums. I will try and get pictures taken of those also.

Debrajc: I can't thank you enough for all of this great information. I am definitely going to go with CAPS and I'm going to customize the albums. I'm still debating if I want to have business strikes together and separate pages for proof and satins. It might be nice to have all the proofs together. I might need sunglasses to protect my eyes from the extreme shininess of all those proofs.

Your albums look great Debra! I love these albums, they take up alot of room, but worth it in my opinion. Only problem I have found, is if you make custom papges(and I have made quite a few) the font and size of the date/description is not the same as on pre-made pages. It looks really bad to me, and I have written to them about it with no response. Now I havent made a new custom page in over a year, so maybe it has changed, but inquire before making a custom page. Will post a picture of it over the weekend if I can.

crusherjc: Good to know about the font issue. I agree, mixing pre-made pages with custom pages with mismatched fonts would bother me too.
I guess the solution is to go with all custom pages.
BTW, dimensionally how large are the albums?

Thanks again everybody. I will get back to some additional comments and questions but first @TheNickleguy asked about windows / slides so I thought I would post these pictures. The coins fit very snugly in the air tites and here are the way the pages are done. I ordered several blanks so I can put some custom pages together, but have not gotten the paper printed yet as I'm still changing things around. Here are the pieces and parts broken down: The air tite: This is "Size A" This same page is used for cents, nickles, dimes, quarters, and all three of the small dollar coins:

Oooooooooooo I like that set up. Many of my Jefferson duplicates are already in the correct capsules. 30 to a page. Nice. Thank you for those images and info.

Debrajc: CAPS should hire you to run their marketing team!
This latest series of photos is great. It appears that I could use either direct fit, or insert ring type air-tites so long as they are A size.
And the albums themselves aren't much bigger than standard binders.
Thanks again for all your help.
It'll probably take a while (looks like a project for the fall/winter) but I'll post pictures of my progress with the big nickel migration to their new CAPS home.

I like this page I found where I can order custom pages. http://capsalbums.com/caps-a-sized-page-4I can type in the date mint grade and add a little FS for full steps notation. For example 1938 S TY1 MS65 FS fits with 2 spaces to spare. The Title on top can also be typed in. It is going to take quite a lot of time to pick out my very favorite keepers in my duplicates and catalog them into the custom pages. I am going to do this though, I have to come up with a theme for the set.

A couple more quick responses then I will go. Your welcome @jbuck! I am a big fan of Eisenhower dollars too. @Quantonica - I haven't bought a USB microscope. Enjoy your vacation and let us know how it goes. @spruett - Yes, it includes the 1943/2, the SMS coins as well as both matte issues. @USSID - Celticknot answered your question very nicely. Unless the inner diameter of the coin has diminished substantially there is no rattle. I would imagine heavily circulated Mercury dimes could have a rattle a problem. @einstein - Thank you SO much for the wonderful write and detailed information. You saved me A LOT of typing! And yes, Valley Coin is a great retailer for these. Looking forward to your pics. I have the Presidential Proof album as well. @TheNickelGuy. I posted the Franklin album earlier today. Glad to see there are enough spaces for custom pages to be labeled the way you need. @NJBob - Well thanks again for the email that started this thread. I look forward to seeing pics of your project. Peace - Out, Debra
