Umm...yeah, I imagine that was snatched up immediately!
(I hope the 1877 was scrutinized carefully)

While I'm not one to overspend, I smell a good deal there.
Providing of course, the 1877 and 1909-S were legit.

The best deal? How about an MS65 1922D Lincoln for an even trade (3 CN worth about $130):

BadThad--wow, I'd say that's a nice strike/grade for a 22-D!

I would have to say this Large Cent is my best deal. I put this coin in with the forum group submission to PCGS & it came back as a MS64BN. Even counting submission costs I've got less than 1/3 of market value in it.

Love this topic Ive been dieing to tell this story. About 8 Months ago a coin dealer called me and asked if I was still collecting Jefferson nickles? I said yes and he told me to stop in. He had bought 3 Peanut jars filled with J Nickles he said he would sell them for face value he estimated $20.a jar and I bought them. Best coin hunt I ever had. They were all 1938-1962. I filled all my holes in my collection except for the 1939D & 1950D no error coins. 18 War Nickels,1 no date Buffalo, 1 1921 VF Buffalo, 4 38D, 3 39S. I saved some of the harder to find 40-50 dates. Cashed the rest in for total of $63. Now I am so mad that I cashed them in but my wife was nagging me. Now that she sees what people are paying on ebay she doesn't nag me anymore.

Seeking: My old Nickles back

got an AU 1938-D in change, but that was in '62 and book value was $5, kept it because of the low mintage thought it might be a "sleeper", bank my head on a post, sold it for $50 several years later, should have kept it.

bought 465 rolls of wheat pennies @ 3 cents a piece. Most were rolled by date but one bag had 3000 in it and when I finished going through it I was down to needing 12 coins for a complete set. Some of the better finds were 2 UNC rolls of steal one unopened roll of 1957's 2 very fine 1926-S ( did you see heritage sold one of these in MS 65 for $170,000) 1910-S, 1914-s, 1911-S all of the S mints from 1916 up except the 1931-S . I have thought about going back and going through some of the rolls that were marked because when I was putting together the set I opened a roll of 1929'S to look for a better grade than what I had and 15 of them were 1909
