well not like that, well want then, OK>>?

I like US coins more than Aus pre-decimals, I don't really like them at all! just meant to say they're overpriced...

well it had a small hole in the middle and was very crumpled, not even VG, probably G.

Hey Eddie, instead of buying these common coins for so much dough, why don't you swap stateside, or get friends here to send you some of the really common stuff like those dollar coins?

The wife says those 6 dimes I sent you only cost 1.70 USD or so.
If you figure you paid 5 bux too much, you could cut your losses by 3 this way. Just a thought.

If you don't have any stateside connections, I am sure there are folks here that would work with you.
I will help when you need it... I am sure there are others as well.

"Ikes are BIG!"
They sure are! I cannot imagine people carrying those in their pockets.

Eddie, I have a 1976 Kennedy half (AU) and two 1976 Bicentennial quarters to add to your Ike.
I only paid face for them, so I'll happily swap for a like-valued trade.

Ok, Ratio: yes, I bought those common coins, because I didn't have any! and I didn't have my RedBook with me, I knew they were overpriced a little bit, BUT NOT THAT MUCH? I'm gonig to make a Bulk Coins Needed in the trade forum.

Kurt I would be interested in both of those, I know you love Aussies so this could work out well, you can have a look at my trade list and I can probably find a few other Pre-decimals to trade

It's funny you say that.
It brought back memories of carrying them in my pocket to spend.
I was much more 'pro-dollar coin', and enjoyed them more
back then! I became 'anti-dollar coin' when the small dollars
came out. I guess I am just a dinosaur. However, our dollar
coins, even silver dollars, have been that big since the
beginning. To have all that big dollar history, then to carry
a small dollar... it's just so anticlimactic.

Just yesterday at my bank's drive-up, I asked the teller if she had any coins of interest that she might give me. I ended up with two Ike's.

I have been getting rolls of Ikes at a bank in town and there are still 1 or 2 left there. I have 71D, 76D, and 78 folls right now. I would be happy to help for some 20, 50, or dollar coins. If you want a big coin check out the Turks and Caicos Crown. It is bigger than the Ikes.

I'm seeing the possibility of something here. The town I live in has 'sister' cities in other countries. Maybe a way to match up 'sister' collectors in different countries? Or even left and right coasters.

I dunno, something to cogitate upon.....
