Thanks Silveroid.

For everyone who is getting the Big One Cent Coin, I just found out that it does come with a serial # and only 1,434 minted and a maroon clam shell box.

Available at the Coin Show right now, the 5 oz Penny for $599.95. 43 left out of 120 they had.
Hurry if you want one.

What a big lie the RCM gave with no penny coin except for subscription.

With 120 coins available, not exactly rare. With such a large allotment from TCS, probably commissioned by Steve Bromberg. Especially when other dealers only have a handful for sale.

The RCM has revised the shipping date for the 6 coin Colored Proof Set with Medallion from August 7 to October 31

Looks like we'll be waiting a while for this one

Shipping dates from the RCM seem to be inaccurate. They said the carousel coin and meteorite coin would ship in September but people reported receiving those coins well ahead of that date.

The revised shipping date might be for new orders / orders received after the initial batch the RCM produced were sold out. It's likely some customers (and dealers) will receive their sets per the original schedule while others will have to wait for another batch to be manufactured.

Plenty of sets at the RCNA convention ( RCM booth) and Steven Bromberg's tables. CAC also has quite a few in stock.

I received my silver colourised coin set from Canada Post on Friday.

Coins look great. Broke apart the set to add the loonie and 5 cent to my ongoing collection.

The rest of the coins are up for sale on ebay.

Interesting Day/ Good out weighed the bad....long story short My 5 Oz penny came today in the mail and I absolutely love it despite it not being a perfect coin with a couple very tiny defects on it...I'm not thrilled about that however am sure that there is no other coin out there to replace it if I returned it,so I'm just going to eat it ...that's the bad news...

good news is to my surprise the coin arrived in a 2'x2' parcel....Yup the dealer shipped the coin to me in the wooden collector box! Was a total shock to me...my wife wants me too keep the box because I got the 2015 loonie and now the penny and she thinks the other 5 coin holes will be filled in my lifetime with other coins but I'm unsure...anyone have an idea on what this 2018 wooden big coin box is worth or sell for?

Another interesting thing is my COA said the penny has a mintage of 1434 not 1500 like the others....I got a # in the 300's

Eitherway awesome coin!

@Whitetail Junkie

Good for you that you scored the box with the penny. As for the mintage, only 1434 will be minted of the penny whereas the others in the series will be 1500.

One of my very few mint purchases this year and it arrives with case damage. Not very good quality control.

@canuck1us: Sorry to hear your set was damaged, at least it is only damage to the case and not the coins. I would have though that that type of case damage is easy to see and would have been pulled off the line during production/assembly.

When I got my set, I thought the medal was damaged/scratched. It turned out it was a deep scratch on the case. The RCM may need to have a look at how its plastic cases are being handled.

I hope you can get a replacement! (If you want one!)
