I brought the following lot of coins on ebay for £11 (about $15). I was interested in the large silver coin in the 3rd row from bottom.

I took a gamble that it might be something special.

Hi,

I won a few auctions last month but due to work commitments, I was unable to go through the lots until today.

The following lot cost about £10 (approx $14), I wanted to bid on this lot as I thought I could see some Iraqi silver coins.

I got 3 Iraqi silver coins and as a bonus I got 5 other silver coins. I really like the 1920 Mercury dime, it has such nice dark toning. The Nickle is a 1906 coin in fair condition.

Due to work commitments I haven't been bidding on many items, but I won the following auction for about £5 (about $7).

I wanted this lot because of the 2 silver coins, a 1951 3 pence Australia and 1892 3 pence South Africa in fantastic condition.

A good deal on anything would be subjective and some might suggest that to ask in the first place might be a telltale sign that, personally, for the buyer, it wasn't.

What you are asking us is... would you be pleased with the buy if it was yours? Confirmation that you didn't waste your disposable income... only you can determine that.

Do you have an attraction to these coins that you bought, eye appeal, or are you just buying to spend non collectable money?

A good deal would be... paying $300 for a single Lincoln and being able to take it to the supermarket and get $300 worth of groceries, that would be amazing!

While it is true we are collecting legal and demonetized tender, they are just trinkets in reality.

Have I rambled incoherently enough yet this morning?
