Flatness of the first strike makes it MD.

I have one like you have, there is a P stamped over aD and you can see that around the beak of the egal there is a break to where the metal did not get pressed down right. I had the coin looked over by a guy that owns a collectable shop,he told me that it's legit and that I need to hold on to it because there is none known of yet in this year's date. so your coin might just be legit also.

I found an interesting one myself today. I'm recording my examinations and listing my catalogs of finds on my website and am making inquires and doing research. It's how I came across this post.

How intriging!

to the new members. You all should start your own threads or it gets confusing. None of the posted coins are a DDO. All are md and or DDD. No OMM's=over mint marks since 1990 are possible, because the mint stopped hand punching each working die in 1990 which means no more RPM's or OMM's are possible.
