I have one like you have, there is a P stamped over aD and you can see that around the beak of the egal there is a break to where the metal did not get pressed down right. I had the coin looked over by a guy that owns a collectable shop,he told me that it's legit and that I need to hold on to it because there is none known of yet in this year's date. so your coin might just be legit also.

@504SwampBoy, can you post a clearer & close-up pic of the mint Mark?

so what I'm reading is that that no one as of today has a legit dd 1994 p or d or p over d quarter recorded? that's funny!

I found an interesting one myself today. I'm recording my examinations and listing my catalogs of finds on my website and am making inquires and doing research. It's how I came across this post.
How intriging!

I just found this one in a pile but I am no coin expert. Does this look like dd or is it md?

to the new members. You all should start your own threads or it gets confusing. None of the posted coins are a DDO. All are md and or DDD. No OMM's=over mint marks since 1990 are possible, because the mint stopped hand punching each working die in 1990 which means no more RPM's or OMM's are possible. John1
