Nope. Doesn't fit my Myers-Briggs type.

The first coin that came to my mind was the US Trade dollar. Therefore, I want to have such a coin in my collection.

I am always thinking about the next coins. The next coin is determined by what opportunity shows up first.

Quote: Have you ever been thinking about your next coin?Like if you came into some extra cash I'm going to get such and such a coin. Most of my collecting is gated by availability rather than price; there's not many coins I want but don't have because they're too expensive rather than because I hadn't found them yet. (Some are both; some - perhaps most - are available but only at huge markups.) I suppose there are some items I want where the main restriction is the price. The 1924 ruble comes close. The Morgan dollar used to be there until I got one as a gift. Maybe some of the 20th century French silvers. AFAIK some gold coins, even of circulating types, are sold at close to metal value; if I had the level of cash to do it I'll definitely try that. But most gold coins aren't common enough that the limiting factor is price; there's the modern Russian gold St. George, maybe the Soviet chervonetz (of the 1980s variety), and at a stretch maybe the American Gold Eagle. I guess it would be nice to get a chervonetz to fill up my Soviet type set. Though it would be quite a cheat; the 1923 version is rare and the 1980s restrikes didn't circulate.

Quote: I would love to get a 1486 thaler Boy that would be amazing! I've been on the constant hunt for nice Seated dollars, not a common date. These coins are tough to find at a reasonable price, but I am prepared to pay when an example comes. Another coin I am looking to purchase is a design type #1 bust half 1807-1808. A nice XF should do it, I am keeping my eyes peeled for a lovely raw example.
Suffering from bust half fever. Want to learn how to attribute early half dollars by die variety? Click Here: http://goccf.com/t/434955Shoot me a PM if you are looking to sell bust halves.

Quote:I am always thinking about the next coins. Indeed! In my case, since my Dutch Type Set is nearing completion, I've decided to start a nice and extensive collection of coins of composers. At first I wanted just a few here and there, but I think I like to built it out to a quite substantial set. Stay tuned!

I've always wanted to own a Saint-Gaudens double eagle. I've yet to get into gold coins due to the price, but would love to someday.

If Santa Claus were in a generous mood, I would ask for a "Gobrecht, Flying Eagle Silver Dollar". Now that's a coin worthy of anyone's collection.

I need to save up for a 93-S Morgan to complete my set. I start to save up and sure enough I see something else that I must buy.

The 1909-S V.D.B LWC would be on top of my list, then the 1877 IHC and the 1909-S IHC. Needless to say, it's going to be a while.......

Stay tuned! Very interesting theme! I know there is a Polish Chopin coin, and I am pretty sure you will wind up with a strong representation from Germany. Will be interested in what you find.

Being in New Zealand, we have one coin which is the Rosetta stone of all coin collecting. That is the 1935 Waitangi crown. Released in the depression, the coin was a colossal flop (Sold at 50% over face value, at the time most people were starving and out of work). Not my coin or photo! I figure if I have a spare 10 grand sitting around, I may get lucky. Otherwise moving to the UK, the next two on the hit list are 1847 Gothic Crown 1841 Halfcrown (Even better an 1839 one as well) And again, no fakes or replicas. Must be original and not cleaned. I want so little in my life
