I will not send again this coin. You do not have any variety here.

As point for grading it is 1. market value, 2. building a hole type coins collection or 3. Special purpose of the coins.

Point 1. = minimum 150$ market value
Point 2. = All coins collection but never under 66+
Point 3. = Special coins which are part of a publication

Hope this will help you

I would add one more point, silviosi:

Point 4. = Coin is a family heirloom, has special meaning or has some other sentimental value and you want it preserved in something other than a 2X2 or airtite.

There must be a language barrier here.

so do I send it in again that is the question.

What do you see about this coin that makes you believe it is worth the PCGS grading fees?

@Tjames99, The best thing you can do is to ask the experts here if you have found an error/variety coin and if they think you should have it graded. Even if a coin has an error or variety, it still may not be worth grading if the condition is poor. The folks here will tell you straight. Welcome!

Cleaned coin. Not a premium for this one. The grading cost more than the coin is worth. (You won't get anywhere near the price you paid for the grading) The lines on the reverse are Feeder Finger Damage. Not a plus for the coin.

Ok thanks for the input I wasn't sure I have a lot of coins I'm just seeing which ones I wanted graded. Only reason I sent that one is to find out if I should keep it. Don't really care much about the fees I'm just starting to send them in. Plus I wanted a good picture also it's honestly one of only two 1923 s that I have out of 1000+ coins. Just time to start grading them if I don't they will just sit in sleeves. What are the better cameras or usb loupes for photos, figure I'd ask because I've been looking and everything in the stores are terrible quality and other options are ordering online. I'll definitely upload images before sending them into PCGS. Thanks again

Also sent this 1944 as well it has spots small but noticeable other that 3 small scratches near the liberty. I have others without spots but I just want to know how they grade it differently.

Camera looks nice I think I'll look into it for sure. If I keep looking on my own it doesn't seem to work out. I have a lot of magnifiers and microscopes smaller obviously. Seems like a waste especially if you still can't get good resolution or the images are distorted. It's not like you can describe the coin. Thanks

Personally I own now an Olympus, a Sony and an Fujifilm. very good cameras but not for coins or artifacts. I choice this camera in order to be able to have really control, and much more important to have Macros, to balance the light, the white and have good photos in RAW format. This camera it is not the high end camera but many Macro photographers for coins use also.

On the forums for coins photos all told me I will not be disappointed and do not cost thousands and thousand. EX: For all my cameras to have a Macro Lens cost over 1K, no filters nothing.

Awesome thanks I'll definitely look into it. So far I've had no luck with cameras and if I'm making the purchase just want to be sure it works well with coins. As I said so many to choose from but not all work for what I want to take pictures of. Thanks again
