Show me a ld 82 that has been modified to an 83 and I'll be convinced. Seems grading is best option. To the 82 folks, I will wait for your larg date 82 transformation

At this point it has too much damage at the last number in the date, therefore it is a 1980 something... I would guess a 1982. ..but as said above, have it slabbed and checked for an error. Your choice.

If it comes back in an 83 bronze slab, I'll reimburse you. That's how sure I am. Are you? (I own this place, I'm not hard to find)

Notice on the 83 the tail of the 3 sticks down to the same level as the tail of the 9. The coin in question has nothing there On the 83 they also used the same font as the 82 small date. The interior of the upper 8 is much smaller than the lower. The coin in question has interior of the upper 8 is close in size to the lower, matching the 82 large date shown

J-Tal's picture shows it clearly, it's a 1982.

I agree This IS an '82 However, we always have a few doubting Thomas's here that have it in their heads that they are more correct than some well seasoned folks here. So, please send it in the ANACS for grading - much cheaper and you don't need to be a member to submit it.
I only request that you come back here with the results, whether it be an '82 or an '83.

I'll even go Bobby 1 better, I'll double back your cost to grade if it comes back an 83.

I didn't ask for you people to tell me if it is an 83! I asked is there any value in it as a 83!!!!! Period! Thanks but I think I'm wasting my time with this site.
