I would want to start adding my Roosevelt dimes collection. This will be my next project.

i collect them from circulation, I have all the clad business strikes save the 2009's and the 1996w. I've also managed to find 17 of the silver ones. I've found a few Mercury dimes along the way as well including a 1918p.

I helped the grandkids put together a full set. Just run-of-the-mill coins from circulation. Only had to buy a couple, such as the 1996 W. Come to think of it, there's no hole for the 1996 W.

My girlfriend is actively pursuing a Roosevelt set right now. She's going for everything, silvers, clads and proofs. I put together a Roosevelt set myself out of rolls back when I first started collecting 10 years ago. I actually managed to get every business strike aside from the 1996-W and the 1955-D, but sadly I had to sell it. Currently the only Roosie I personally own is a 1996-W that is destined for a 20th Century Type set eventually. I gave all my others to my girl. It's her first set, and I wanted to give her a good start.

My Roosevelt album is complete through 2007. I just added the 2003-D last year (it was my white whale until the 2008 and now 2009 coins!).

The set includes circulated silver and clad, as well as modern clad and silver proofs. I do not have the 1996-W, nor do I have a hole for it. All of the clad business strike coins came from circulation.

My modern clad Roosevelt set has all for circulation issues except for 2008 P (look each day in the post for this one) and a 2009 D.

Trying to decide if I want a 1996-W or not.

By the way, can anyone tell me what the final mintage figures for the 2008 P and D dimes were?

I would go with a 96W. That is the key to the clad set as it was only available in the mint set. If they ever revise this coin, like they have the other denominations, it will be one of the first to go up in price.

I have my collection full of pre 1964 Roosevelt's. I didn't bother with the clads, they make so many of them they are barely collectible IMHO.

I've got the Whitman folder for clads, and am only missing (other than this year) the 1969.

I have most of the Roosvelts including the 1996W,
just need to get a few more of the proofs to finish the set.

The good thing is, it hasn't cost me a dime. LOL

I got given a lot of these coins and traded the rest.

I have been giving some thought to collecting them for some time. Did buy an album and filled in around 20-30 holes, but I just don't like them. Mainly because they are so small. Love the Mercury dimes, beautiful coin, but I just don't like small coins.

If any of you FDR fans are interested I have some 50's BU and a slider 54-s. 1965 SMS single and 73 P/D in clad. PM me if so. :D Sorry if this is sorta in the wrong place but I had no idea there were many Roosevelt dime fans around lol.

Bruce

PS - FDR's are cool, you can make a nice set from circulation!

I am putting together a BU set but don't work on it much and probably won't until my BU Jefferson nickel set is done. I get one every now and then to add to the book.
