splatto what do you mean by 20 different rolls?

Yes splatto I also am curious what you mean?

20 rolls of poppy quarters, 800 poppy quarters in total. $200 worth of poppy quarters.
I'm not sure how else to explain it

It just sounded like you had 20 different rolls, in other words they where all different.

On some of the quarters that I have, there are two dots at the ends of the horizontal line of dots, and on some of the quarters, there is only one dot at the ends of the horizontal line of dots

enforcer al, can you post pics or try to explain this?

By the way, if anyone is wondering about the rifle on the poppy coin it's a C-7 assault rifle in wide use in the Cdn infantry.

Splatto- thanks for the list- I got 3 rolls from the first place that I stopped, and 1 from my normal postal outlet, and probably will get another from another PO that I go to. Now, how about this- I am taking in some to the banks that I deal with, so the tellers will get some. I did this for the Navy Dollars, when I got a few rolls of them, too. It is sort of funny, supplying bank tellers with Canadian Money, but they appreciate it, and they have really helped me get some interesting pieces.

I can make out the small little horizontal lines at the ends of the middle of the poppies, but what DOTS are you talking about? I don't see any!

If you go to the thread called One dot-two dot in the errors forum and look at the pics from castor, they are highlighted with arrows. It seems that I did not give as good a description of how to find them as I thought, old age I quess.

I was just informed there are two varieties of the new poppy quarter. Attached is a scan of the one I have. Here is a description I received of the differences.

Quote:
The 2 varieties of the poppy quarter ore on the black dots in the middle of the poppies- some have a single dot at each end, and uneven dots along the horizontal axis. Others have 2 dots at each horizontal end, and an even number of dots on each side of the centre.

Sorry if this has already been posted as I didn't read through the thread.

Thanks everyone for the heads up and the selling locations link. Will see if I can pick up a few.

I was lucky enough to find a 2008 poppy quarter in my change a while back, in near perfect condition and having been hanging on to it. It's so pretty!
