Quote: I can only guess at what other coins might be in the Canadian mythical series Realpenny...maybe Ogopogo.
To my American friends who might be wondering, Ogopogo is the Canadian version of the Loch Ness Monster.
Does anyone else have any ideas ? Next in the series will be the often talked about but rarely seen, honest politician

If there was an honest politician, what would you put on the reverse? Surely, you would not replace the Queen on the obverse.

The sasquatch coin is hilarious! It is the perspective of someone 'treed' by one! I once was in a similar situation, but it was a grizzly bear looking up at me, not a 'samsqatch'!

I thought this coin was a joke at first, but it looks like it's the real deal. Man, what will they come up with next?

That's a nice little site Realpenny. I see that we are not the first to come out a Sasquatch (Bigfoot) coin, who would have guessed?

I don't know much about mythical creatures/tales (not my thing) but I hope Canada sticks to Canadian Mythical Creatures. I take it the Sasquatch and if there is an Ogopogo comes from native stories and legends. The market seems to be people who are into cryptozoology, younger collectors, people into mythology/legends etc... I am surprised so many people collect the royals coins for every occasion, but to each their own.

^^^ I see the RCM including the younger market with these coins so making them over scary (something hollywood/media would do) or not fitting in with the a actual legend makes sense. Then again the Quenn and her husband had a kid and somehow that kid is an extra special member of the human race for just being born and now a coin... talk about myths and legends.

Hi. I am a new member here but I have been reading on the site for some time. I think one can get a lot of good information here. I am surprised no one has commented on the $20 Fine Silver Coin - Tulip with Venetian Glass Ladybug. Just curious how the RCM will package it. Needs extra protection I would think. Go Habs go.
