Collect what you like. Its obvious you think about them enough that you NEED to collect them.

From the concern implied within your post, it seems you might be in for some stressful times if you don't!

Besides, the more you take out of circulation, the less I have to see!

Seriously - just collect and enjoy what you like instead of one day looking back and wondering why you never took the time to do something you really had always wanted to do.

You should collect these little golden dollars. I have been collecting them from circulation and keeping them in a custom album. Actually I have three albums.. They look very attractive in their albums, all shiny and golden.

Lol I find it kinda funny as I just broke down and got me proofs of all the Presidential dollars from 2007-Current. I figured why not they are cheap and most look very nice. That is just about all I have left in the Modern Era coins to collect so now comes the more expensive coins, completing my SLQ, Indian's, last 2 Peace dollars and a few Jeff Nickles. Good luck!

I just started on the Presidents...my bank had uncirculated rolls of all of the Philadelphia '07's and '08's. Gotta get the '09's and '10's now.

I have four collections of "Prezes"; one for each grandson. It's a great way for them to learn some history and have a collection too. I showed them the collections just last weekend and told them they'll get the albums this Christmas. Then I'll send them the coins every time they are released. I have to admit, all that shiny gold on a blue page (Lighthouse Album) is kind of impressive.

I live in a small town and none of the local banks have rolls of dollars. My only option is to either order the rolls from ebay, the Mint, etc or I can buy an Uncirculated Set. I have the 2007 and 2008 uncirculated sets so I'm half way there.

I've order rolls from the Mint and ebay before. The coins always looked dinged up and poor compared to the uncirculated sets. I suppose I'll stick with the sets.

Well if you start collecting them and then change your mind, they will still be worth a dollar...

I've been pulling these out of circulation for years now. I haven't put any in albums, but I do have quite a nice little hoard going.

I get the Direct Ship coins from the US Mint (they ship for free) I do keep a roll for myself then spend the rest and in the town I live in all the cashiers are in awe when I use them.

If you like them, collect them. Their cheap and it is definitely not too late to get started. Most of them you can buy for a buck fifty, or you can get them from circulation or your bank. As new ones come out, you can probably trade with other people on the forum for ones you don't have. (oh wait, you wanted me to convince you not to collect them, guess I didn't do a good job.)

Well, the Presidential dollars happen to be radioactive, so you'll probably grow some extra limbs or something.
The program itself is supposed to be cursed so expect to be terrorized by demons in your home.
They are an extreme fire hazard (cause unknown)

These things should convince you not to collect them

Lol jk. If they interest you and you want to collect them, go ahead! It's not too late.
