1-2 dollars over spot is a great deal!
I got a 1992-p 1/10 oz gold eagle proof from a coin show yesterday for 175, which I thought was a great deal, but thats like 20$ over spot lol

yes, nice deal. Go back soon and see if he wants to help out a new gold collector! Maybe you can walk out with gold at spot.

I am not a coin dealer, but am a dealer in another hobby of mine. I find it so very easy to give some great deals to younger, interested people. The other dealers and I often talk about this and it seems pretty common. It makes us 40+ year old prune-juice-drinkers feel good to be able to help a young'in!
