Yeah I kind of like the 90% dimes, its about a loaf of bread size currency.

Check out those 1942's for potential overdates! Not a bad buy at today's bullion prices.
For about the same expense, one could assemble a short set of Mercuries, 1941-45PDS, 15 coins from the war years, in choice UNC. IMHO, I'd garner far more enjoyment from looking at that set, again and again, than I would from owning a pile of common circs. These short sets look great in the Capial holders, too!
Spot prices for silver can decline, but if stored properly, the beauty and value of modestly priced UNC Mercuries will be sustained.

The RedBook has good overdate pics for the 1942/1 P+D mint coins. Also, you can probably spot some good pics on e-Bay by doing a simple search for "1942/1" under the coin category. Happy hunting!

Looks good. I wish I had not sold all my rolls of mercs, I had like 15+ rolls, most NOT junk a few were BUT I was able to complete a nice set of each year of Mercs though AND kept the best ones from all the rolls.

IMHO, one can never have too many Mercury dimes. Even though they are common dates, nice coins at a nice price. Mercury's like that would be a welcomed addition to my hoard collection...

As noted the 42/41 is a good one to find but usually so noticable, they are grabbed. The 42D/41 is not so easily noticed so many miss that one. Need a good magnifier for that one. Too, watch for the 45 Micro S. More and more large and small dates are being found on Mercury dimes lately and so far not clarified as to values for which is which. With Mercury dimes the rotated reverses are really common and I've found about 25% are to some degree rotated. However, some are drastically rotated and bring a decent price. Lately all really common, well worn Mercury dimes are selling for $3/each at most coin shows.
