This could also be a hijacked ebay account. I ran into this a few years ago when looking for a specific computer - no - I did not get taken, but reported the auction and it was taken off (pronto) by ebay .

Tokenmast, the original sale in the first post is the one in question. He's from Hong Kong and selling 100 Peace dollars for $399.99 and has now sold 84 lots! How many ebay sellers from China have 10s of thousands of real Peace dollars just taking up space, so he has to sell them for $4 each? He has to be up to something. The guy from Maryland with 11,000 sales looks to be honest, but has a poor photo of his product. He's selling 100 Peace dollars for $3,777.77 and only has one lot for sale. I'd have to go the the "local" seller of the two.

I sent them a msg asking to the authenticity of their items and if the buy it now was for all 100 or for just one coin. But of course I have received no answer yet. I have also reported this to ebay and am awaiting their response. What ever this guy is doing it is fraudulent in one form or another, just not sure which, but certain it is in violation of ebays listing policy.

He's up to 92 sold now. How could 92 people think that they will get 100 silver dollars for $400?
Update: 100 lots sold! I can go to bed now.

This is what I just received from the seller of the auction in question. I asked if you would receive 100 or 1 for the $399 price.
Dear brokatoe,
You will be affected by 100! Thank you!

I used the ccf link to report it. Here was my question: Quote: Is PayPal going to refund my money when the seller doesn't send the advertised $2600 worth of silver for $399? He's sold 102 of these. Someone who runs across 10 bags of silver dollars can manage to find ebay, halfway around the globe, but isn't bright enough to run them as an auction for 7x the selling price, or can't find a local scrap buyer? If you found a wheelbarrow full of silver Chinese coins, would you look for a Chinese site to sell them for 15ยข on the dollar, or call up a silver buyer across town?

He was up to 116 lots sold at around 2:00 AM, but now he is gone. Does anyone know how many he sold before they took his sale down?

It won't matter - they got him quickly enough that hopefully he was unable to transfer anything out of Paypal, since it's the weekend. Took them longer than I expected, though - I reported it at 2PM yesterday.

Good riddens!! Yeppers, I catch quite a few fraudulent charaters on onlineauction.com. I call the site and they are gone within minutes. Can't believe people still don't understand the whole "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
