I just love the matte proofs. It is a way to get a coin that looks flawless without making it all shiny and fake looking like regular proofs that I dislike so much. I just recently bought the 1994 matte nickel!

I have two of the 1994's but have been thinking of picking up some more, I think they are a good deal right now

I'm a fan of toning, but not a plain gold tone over the entire face. Distracting and not very pretty to me.

Many congratulations on the awesome coin! I'm not a big fan of proof-only issues myself, but this one is definitely an exception. Well done!

Quote: jbuck: Do not open that slab Ah, yes, even the mighty slab-cracker jbuck hesitates at (PCGS/NCG) slabs bearing the number 70. Congratulations on a stunning coin that looks entirely fitting for its SP 70 grade.

I found a 2010 in circulation that was in such great shape, and looked so nice that I bought a couple of rolls of 2011 halves form the mint. I've been shopping for graded liberty halves on ebay, and not much to find.
