I was searching ebay for State Quarter clad proof sets and I see that most of the sets have an average price of $4 to $5 but sometimes the average is $5 to $18 How can two sets with same date (example 2005) be listed for this wide range of prices ?

Can anyone help me with the right price for each year of the State Quarter clad proof sets.

Thanks

You can search for completed auctions and see what they typically sell for. That will give you a better idea than looking at buy-it-now prices.

Thanks captainfwiffo

i have found an auction for "ONE MIXED LOT OF 50 State Quarters CLAD PROOF SETS WITH OGP/COA" that has ended on $24.05 only ........ I wish I had all this for this price

Now I can estimate how much it will cost me to expand my State Quarter P & D to include Clad proofs ........

Thanks again for the tip

Wait until you add the "Silver" proofs to that set. Better take a mild sedative before you go searching. The 1999 State Quarter set only is well over $130.00

Only the 1999 is very expensive because of the low mintage. The rest of the silver proof sets are more reasonable. Actually, I'd wait a few years until silver comes down before trying to collect silver proofs.
