So how many days did it take for the Polar Bear to sell out?

They went on sale to Master club on January 23 and generally on January 30.
So that is a 30 day sell out on general release.
edited the month - I guess I'm tired of winter.

I think someone has their January's and July's mixed up. It looks like it sold out in 30 days. But I think there were some issues with the system as you could only purchase these over the phone for about a week and it didn't seem like there were any left when some members here phoned in. Trying to move a few hundred thousand coins across Canada in such short of a time frame is probably challenging. Not to mention they were moving the Moose Bullion at the same time.

my friend placed an order on web on Feb. 16, one day before they changed it to phone order only. one week later he got an email saying it's backordered. don't know if he will receive the bears or not.

I ordered 1 in January and received it a week later. Regretting not getting more, I ordered 2 more on Feb. 11th and got them yesterday.

So how long did it take to really sell out? On the 16th or the 28th?

I know people who ordered on JANUARY 30th that still have not received them. Well, my friend received his 3 today and the postage said it was shipped on Feb. 29. Hope everyone else who was able to place an order with RCM receive theirs soon. I still cannot help wondering what's going on this year. The mint has been selling out quite a few products already. Is it possible that the members of this forum own 10% of the bears? How about the 50 cent rolls, and the Titanic? At least 1%.

Kind of a sad image... all the polar bears will be swimming before too long.

Mine was shipped out jan.30th.,with the option of pre-ordering the next $20 for $20. I just checked my status and the order is being processed (as of Feb.3rd.) How can that be.We don't even know what it looks like yet

I'm new to Canadian commemoratives and non-circulating coinage. Today I bought the Polar Bear $20 today for $25. I was wondering if I should get more at this price?
Please advice.
Thanks!

While you missed out on the Mint's $20 cost, $25 is reasonable. I don't think you'd find them any cheaper unless you get one as a free promo for buying several hundred dollars worth of items from a dealer.
