.... When a family member opens a boutique and you go check it out before it opens to see progress and can't take your mind off what could possibly be found in the box of cents, nickels, dimes, quarters that you spotted....

... When you are the 11th person in line in the bank and the teller goes to the back to get a box for you while with a customer.

... When the teller helps you carry the boxes to your car.

! This is a good thread. I have my morning routine( I work construction) so I am able to visit a plethora of convenience stores and 7/11s gas stations etc. I ALWAYS check the leave a penny take a penny bins by the cash registers. The first couple of times Ive gotten crazy looks, but after I explain myself to them they are all for it ! Who else has a extra "car loupe" they specifically keep in the car to look at loose change? THIS GUY HAH. CRH on ,cannot wait to find that one penny one time that's worth a couple of bucks and go crazy and people are like,"Look at this guy going bonkers over a penny"!

You know your addicted when you read all 7 pages of this topic with a smile on your face.....when you get so many coins you know there is a slight chance your wife won't be there when you get home! Meaning she left me! You know your addicted when you go through life thinking about the next roll or the next major score could be today!! When you drive by a bank and get mad at yourself because you didn't stop and ask for any halves and eisenhowers, thinking I probably missed a huge silver score!! When you have more coin wrappers in your trash can than any other trash! When holidays piss you off because banks are closed! When your bedroom closet actually looks like a bank vault!!

Yes, there is no hope for me. Gotta go, my unopened penny rolls are calling me

... You start to unwrap the coins in front of the teller just to look through them fast and cash them in and get new rolls.
Rest in Peace

Never done that but, I tell them when I buy a $25. box, "give me the the box with the oldest looking coins."

Yuck, but I recently opened a 1988 Topps pack of baseball cards. The gum in it was 27 years old! I bit into it and it disintegrated. It was like chewing chalk!!

HT I hope you're joking, that's a huge no no in most CRHing circles. Nothing will bother tellers more and shut you down faster than checking and returning quickly or complaining to them about problems you are having with the free service they are providing...

You know you are addicted when you have a broken leg and still walk a mile round trip to the bank and carry 25 dollars worth of nickels and cents home. True story. And it was all worth it.

You know your addicted when You ask for the key to the vault and you actually expect them to say "oh ok here you go, lock up when you are done". Ha ha ha

Seriously, how fun would that be? Walk in at 9am leave at 4pm. Pennies, nickels, quarters, halves thrown all over the vault. It would actually look like Scrooge McDucks Money Vault!!
