lots of counterfeits on Amazon - they don't have a policy banning their sale.

No, but they have their A-Z guarantee, which covers everything from not as advertised to seller didn't ship to seller disappeared and no refund. They honor it, even if it means they take the money out of their own pocket.

LOL I knew somebody would ask. My goal is to accumulate as many as I can to study the reverses trying to pick out the 6 different dies. Then I want to write a book on them. At that point I will be ready to sell off some of my Henning collection. I will keep you in mind when I get to that point. The only one I have ever gotten rid of was last year at the Summer Seminar. I took along a Henning with the hole in the R. There is a young man in Colorado Springs who does Hobo Nickel carving. I took it to him as soon as I got there and he agreed to carve the obverse leaving the date so you could still tell it was a Henning. I then donated it to the auction used to raise money for the Young Numismatist scholarships. The Henning Hobo brought $350 in the auction. That is the only one to leave me so far.

Which one are you referring to? The 9 pieces I picked up at the show where all $25 each. Actually I received 8 pieces. I bought 2 off the floor and 7 more from another dealerr who was going to mail them to me. But he only found and mailed 6 of the coins returning my money for the last one.

At a coin show a few Sundays ago a dealer had about 10 Hobo Nickels and many of the Henning Nickels. Not being interested I didn't even ask about a price. I'll have to check with him at the next show. More and more people are getting interested in those.

Hello again, I dug my 1944 Henning Nickel out of the safe and so that everyone is clear on the weight differance here we go. The 1944 Henning Nickel weighed 5.3 Grams and the US 1944 35% silver nickel weighed 4.8 grams the Henning Nickel weighs "MORE" I have tried to buy one for years NO one wants to sell them remember the mintage is Est @ 100,000 total that's not many. I do not know if people read these posts but if I do not hear back I will quit posting on this subject. Thanks Again. I hope to get a couple of reply's.

This is the one my wife found roll hunting. I was as excited about her finding that as I was when she found her 38D Walker. LOL

Notice that smokeriderdon's nickel does not have a hole in the leg of the R in PLURIDUS.
Neither does mine.
