With all of the RCM Titanic coin related discussion in this NCLT forum, I thought folks might enjoy a look at the latest privy-marked silver maple leaf (SML). I think the RCM did a nice job on the Titanic privy -- it's definitely more detailed than some of the other privy marks used for the SML series. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! APMEX probably paid to have these made. That's why they get all of them. From what I understand anyone can have a privy maple made, it just costs a lot. That's why the mint doesn't sell them, with the exception of the last 2 f15 privys and the RCMP privy from Canada post. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, privy maples are my favorite coins to collect and I would like to know as much as I can about them. The only 2 I need to complete the whole set are 2010 f15 and this new titanic coin.

That was my thought as well. I'm just missing the 2008 F12 and this new Titanic myself. Tried to order one from their website last night (never dealt with them before) but it was minimum order of $250 and they don't take credit cards for orders originating outside the US. Guess I'll need to wait for one of the dealers to pick up a bulk lot and start reselling them.

Colonial acres has them for around $50 I think. For some reason the 2008 f12 is so hard to find, I think talisman has them for $200. I have a sheet of the 07 and 09 f12s and I would love a sheet of 08.

Quote: APMEX probably paid to have these made. Correct. I believe that they also were responsible for the 1998 Titanic privy. Thanks for the tip on our friends in (former) Berlin, Ontario. For some reason, the newest SML Titanic privy is not on the silver bullion page so I didn't see it. It's in the RCM section on the 2012 special coins page.

The price is much better than I find on ebay. http://colonialacres.com/products.p...w=31759&ref=

Rockdaddy22: Talisman's website is still showing a 2010 F15 in stock but while they've listed the 2008 F12 for a while it's always shown out of stock the last couple of months. I tried emailing them a couple of weeks back but didn't get a response. http://www.talismancoins.com/servle...tail?no=1606

Thanks kuh_85 I was aware of the 2010, but I didn't realize the 08 was sold out. Someone in Germany must have a big stockpile.

Dillon Gage.is listed in the Charlton Catalogue as the source/sponsor of the issue. Hopefully they got it right!

Colonial acres sells them on $49.95 each. That is a good deal for Canada orders, because of lower shipping cost http://colonialacres.com/products.p...w=31759&ref=Canada $6.50 for orders over $100.00 $8.00 for orders under $100.00 USA $12.00 for orders over $100.00 $15.00 for orders under $100.00
