Fair enough. The trail sounds about right. I've had it for a long time. Interesting.....
Thanks for the info.

YES GREAT MEMORY!! I would say the grade is ef, the note I have had now for around ten years and its the pride of the fleet.
I must add I found it very hard to find the last prefix 1997 twenty dollar note (GB97) but after call to mr trevor wilkins and a little time job complete.
Now the twentys are complete I'm thinking of starting the ten I'm sure there will be some hard ones to find there!

on my 2 x 1988 x $10.00 notes ab 33 last prefix first issue pic shown above . macdonald,s book has them as vf $ 550==as f $ 250.00 mine in this wavie condition what price do you think they would be worth , any idea of price i have them in a heavy book trying to flatten them down as much as I can .. does condition mean (unc ) perfectly flat and clean and never changed hands from new , and ( f )mean been in circulation and used .ok mine are unc and never been used so should have no dirt or scratches , but were stored ,,, rolled and placed in a glass bottle ,does that mean they are still unc but not in perfect condition , I know it is a bit confusing but they are the best valued notes from 1988 . first issue , last prefix 1988 notes.opinions please and be nice because it is be kind to ,,kel ,, week next week..

keldaw2222, the 1988 polymers aren't the last prefix. The notes need a 93, 94 or 96 after the AB33 to be first issue.

SPG1 , this is what I went by , dont you think it is a bit confusing , like it got me confused , doesn,t really matter because the notes are far from being unc condition but I just saw ab 33 last prefix and (first release ) and that is what I went by 250= 550 and so on , so was confusing for me for sure ..,, kel,,

There was a recent Australasian Coin and Banknote Magazine article which I think said that the catalogues are somehow not clear about first/last prefixes for the 1988 $10.
