State Quarter Grease Filled Die Strike?

Williamsonj320 Pillar of the Community United States 538 Posts	Posted 07/11/2012 01:31 am Hey everyone, I found this quarter in circulation and think it may be a Grease Filled Die strike. The little bit of research I have been able to drum up suggests that may be so but it is on a Washington State Quarter and everywhere I've seen only talks about the Kansas State Quarter. pyrbob Rest in Peace United States 1943 Posts	Posted 07/11/2012 05:09 am The T in TRUST looks like it was struck through a little bit of grease. This commonly happens on all coins of all denominations and for this small amount has no extra value to it. When the struck through area is much larger then it begins to have some collector value. SteveCaruso Pillar of the Community United States 1796 Posts	Posted 07/11/2012 12:41 pm If I were to sell it (but I'm not) I'd ask for $5-7, since it's such an extreme example, and on my favorite State Quarter design. :-) The only greasers that sell for more are proofs, as they're rather rare. I consistently check my pocket change for things like this so most likely if I ever do find something as complete as your example or description then it will not be in the greatest of shape.
