1972 1â¢ Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

Lonz Valued Member 494 Posts	Posted 07/11/2012 10:32 am Some of the 1972's are "smack you in the face" doubled, but some are tuff to ID. This one below seems to have extra thickness in many areas and some seperation lines, but lacks major notching - please take a look and enlighten me whether this is a common 1972P or in fact a DDO. I've been to coppercoins and can't ID from what is there - some things match, but others don't. I definitely see extra thickness, but could be going crazy. Report this Post to the Staff

Jayman931 Pillar of the Community United States 2651 Posts	Posted 07/11/2012 11:37 am I believe....but I'm not sure....that the doubling I see on the "N" in IN is from Master Die Doubling I also see a good bit of Die Deterioration. Here is some info on Master Die Doubling....if you scroll down it specifically references 1972's in length.
