Found this the other day. Doubling in two directions? Thoughts?

Looks like a particularly deceptive example of Machine Doubling.

I think the Captain is correct but could you get a better shot of"LIBERTY" with a different lighting angle.

I figured this was the case. I thought I'd better check, anyway. Thanks for the replies. DrDon, I'll try to get another pic up soon.

Even though it's MD I would put that in a 2x2 and keep it,it's cool looking.

B/c of other posts you guys have made on this forum, I thought I had a pretty good handle on MD when I see it. However, due to these pics, I know I still have more learning to do.

I thought that notched letters/numbers was not MD? I thought I saw notching with the letters of the pic having "IN GOD." Is this from the lighting. or are these notched?

I know you know what you are talking about - I would just like to be more "edumacated."

Not really notching Earle...as they said...this one is deceptive. But the kicker is that the devices are normal thickness. On a DDO they should be thicker than normal.

John1, it's already in a 2X2. I thought it was cool looking, too!

Thanks for the help on this Maineman.

The thickness is something I had read about, but forgotten. It sure makes a lot of sense though.

And I also agree with John 1, if I had this, I would keep it just b/c it looks cool.
