It's also quite possible that by 2018, there might not be any coins issued at all, the way things are going with contactless payments EVERYWHERE. So the ATBs might be a nostagic farewell to coinage of any sort. Brave new world, this, and something to think about...

My hope is that after Washington crossing the Delaware, we get a new face altogether. A bold, brave face, one that can unify people all over the country, a huge central personage in the very foundation of the country.
You spell her name L-I-B-E-R-T-Y.

I still wish the ATB releases could have been scheduled to end in 2031 instead of 2033, making room for a 2032 "Washington Tricentennial" program, including the requisite Coin and Chronicles set.

theres no answer to this, things change all the time, the could cancel a series at any time.. they will wait to see how things go with the ATB's. they might give plans for the future but even then it wouldnt be a sure thing.

And then there is the possibility that in the near future there will no longer be separate countries. Like on Star Trek, all one United World. Then the quarters would now have to have places like England, Iraq, The Congo, Siberia, Brazil, China, Mexico, etc. on the reverse. However, if that was the case, would Washington still be on the Obverse? Would there still be a Quarter? AND regardless of what anyone says, I still think there will be the Lincoln Cent. So what will be on the 3009 Cent reverse?

I'm guessing you're talking about the N.W.O. (New World Order) just carl? When that happens we'll probably just be scanned on our implanted microchip to purchase anything. Goodbye currency of any type. :(

Quote: Yeah, my granddad talks about waking 5 miles in the snow uphill both ways. He also talk about paying for things with funny metal disks. Can you imagine using those today? Heck it would take a bazillion of them just to by a candy bar. How did they ever walk around carrying so many? He even collected those things. I think we have boxes and boxes of those things in the attic somewhere.

I agree with Darth Morgan - I would lime to see a classic design come back. But given some of the recent hideous designs, I don't see it happening...

Your grandfather had it easy. My grandfather was Sisyphus.
