Pass on all of the new coins. Spent too much money on the penny coins already.
Saving my money for the next Dino coin and sequel to the Ladybug/Bumblebee coins.

Agreed on the box. Simple light coloured wood.
I went ahead and ordered the subscription on one of the rare occasions that I could get on the website today. The first coin ships in mid January so I guess I still have a couple of months to cancel or let it ride.
As for the 20$ coin, I don't think that this a second in the series with the Bateman. The moose was issued for the 50th anniversary of the Canadian Federation - seemingly that's a one off event and coin.
The 5oz beaver is quite detailed but I don't find it as impressive as the 5 oz penny and don't need to buy a 5 oz coin every month. The penny is doing ok on the secondary market, but I don't think the beaver will have the same appeal - I could be wrong though. I don't think the Stampede 5oz did all that well.
BTW, general public release of these new coins is next Monday, Nov 5th

Yes, the box is simple. But if you anyway think to get all the coins - will be better to store / display them all together in that box, rather than keep them all in separate boxes.
I see it in Go7 - didn't bought the subscription, but knew that anyway I want all the coins, and now I do not have "that" box.

For people who do not like "fancy" boxes, this is it. Btw, it looks like the Mint website is up and running.

Quote: See they listened. Simple box = no delay lol. Maybe you're right but then again, they only have almost 6 months make 40,000 wooden boxes. Might need to get all those beavers working on cutting down the trees.

6 months to make 40,000 boxes seems like plenty of time. But how long has it taken to make the GO7 boxes? Or 5000 measly Penny set boxes? I'd be shocked if they get all 40,000 made and shipped by Thanksgiving 2013. And has anyone noticed the first coin has an estimated shipping date of 1/15/13? Do they really need to start selling these 2 1/2 months before the actual estimated release date?!

I'll probably get both and skip out on the 5oz... That's if their website lets me!

Quote: I'd be shocked if they get all 40,000 made and shipped by Thanksgiving 2013 On the bright side, Thanksgiving is 6 weeks earlier up here. But ya nothing but problems in mint.ca today. Up, down, slow, stuck and undergoing maintenance. Great day to release new coins.

well at least they sell it months ahead and not pulling the penny set. but it is too early, they still have time to mess it up with delays
