"until I ran out of stuff to sell" Ah now there in lies the REAL trick to staying in business Muddler, finding a way to continually replinsh one's stock, which as they say and how true it always has been and always will be via...."It takes money, to make money" I sell either modern day Lionel train sets or Asian die-cast robots where I make more profit, but it takes longer to sale as these items STAND the test of time being made well out of steel and such, just like pmz, but in this economy take longer to move.... You can melt pmz, change its form, but I am still gonna find value in the metal content as would all of you no matter what it is shaped into, via coin or bar or whatever.... Now why sell pmz you all may ask, can't make much on ebay with fees? True, but I can't find anything in this world more LIQUID then pms. When I need cash even if its a little loss, I know EXACTLY what figure to put starting bi dto draw a bid and make cash when I need it.... And when I set on it long enough and the envitable price spike takes place, then it is that more easy to turn a profit on pmz....

Quote: I dont'e recall signing up for them Baseball, but who knows I very well have and not realized it, as I have been getting them for a couple of years now.... I just noticed it a few months ago an I've been on there since 09. The only reason I found it is because there was an ad for it on the homepage. All I had to do was click something and it started but it wasnt automatic with sign up though it could have been at some point. Thats what gets me as a little odd but there could just be spending requirements like you mentioned. I would think though they could possibly hook some of the rare users into using ebay more if it was automatic and better advertised. People always love free stuff Quote:thats cool, ill just stick with my Amazon card for now because I get 1, 2 and 3% cash back or Amazon credit depending where I use it If you link your Amazon card to your paypal account you could double up the rewards on ebay. You could get the ebay bucks as well as the Amazon points if you used that to pay.

hmm, I could sell my dads lionel train set that dates back very far up to current, but that would ruin his train shows he does every christmas, I could sell my silver coins but I'm afraid that some are worth more than melt because of condition and possible key dates and toning

Older Lionel train sets nice and complete can bring crazy big money, but again replacing items like that or rare toned coins, not gonna happen to often.... Everybody has to figure out their own buy/sell nitch if that is what they want to do. May be I-phones, pmz, baby clothes, who knows. Don't laugh I bet people who make and sell baby clothes are the real profit takers, lol..... I had many high dollar toned Morgans and took a bit of a loss on them a year or so back, just all part of the learning by trial and error.... Picture skills most key with toned coins. One angle they look like garbage, another angle and correct light they may bring hundreds of dollars, and the ESTABLISHED tone dealers clean up, everyone else seems to struggle to sell.... Any item marked buy it now has its profit figured in, we all know that, and many of us would rather die then have some one make some money off of them, can't blame them often depending on how much was made. Always a fair figure in there somewhere for both parties, and like I always say the formula to a sucessful sell, buy, or trade, all parties leave happy feeling as if they got either the good end of, or a fair deal... In the end I do it more for the love of owning new and rare high dollar sought after items, it is like an addiction to me.... I as well need to start checking Amazon, possible double edged sword....

Amazon isn't great for coin buying, but everything else seems to be fairly priced until you see the shipping costs, maybe I should sell these world coins I got today at the shop for 90 cents, asking around they seem to be well worth more than what I paid, but they are nice in my world collection

Amazons biggest downfall is they dont combine shipping you have to ask every seller every time to do it for you and not all of them will. But I agree they are pretty bad for buying coins

There was one seller who had a good price on some uncirculated washington halfs, I wanted to get 5 until I saw I had to pay 6 dollars a coin for shipping and they never responded if they would refund the extra charges or not so I passed

i dont blame you, thats probably where he makes of his profit, sell the coin cheap but charge extra for shipping, just like Amazon does, cheap stuff but lots on shipping

wow, I havnt seen that on ebay yet, I see a lot of that on Amazon, although I got an HDMI cord from Amazon or a penny and shipping was only 2 dollars or so so that wasnt bad, but do they really think they can trick people into buying stuff with a low price without looking at shipping?
