Very nice.
Im from VA and have been curious as to the Shenandoah Mountains design. I do not like the hiker on the coin. I think this series needs to focus on the PARKS, not people.
Oh well, not a deal breaker, but I wish there was no hiker.

As jbuck says, I hope they translate well. That Everglades is stunning. It's on my list now.
I collect Morgans and silver eagles, but I need to add another modern US silver coin to my collection. I like variety.

After seeing all the designs, I think they chose the best candidate in every case except the sand dunes, I think CO-05 would have been better.

True, now that I look at the other Shenandoah designs, I realize that they actually do have some taste. Also, sad that all designs come from within the mint. Someday, someday....

I think they made good choices but I would agree with Bluezone that I'm afraid that when the design for The Dunes is traslated to a coin it's just going to look like a bunch of mountains. I think design #1 would have probably shown the dunes better.

I don't like the sand dunes either......just looks plain to me in this picture. I need to go look at the other choices now and see if there is a better one. I guess I expected more from a state like Colorado.

That bear would've rocked the Blue Ridge, IMHO. And I'da been sure to buy it, in that case.
01 or 7 would have much more aptly reflected the moving sands in CO than the mountainous one, but I'll still probably get it, since I'm a mtn fan.
Great choice on Everglades and Smoky...I'm a little ambivalent on the Arch at this time.

it must be hard choosing from all those great designs. you guys are all too picky, these are by far the most amazing looking coin designs in currency. the State Quarters dont even compare.. |

The 2014 is a strong group, both state and ATB Quarters have great ones and ones that fall short. In fairness to the State Quarters I think the project for those was much harder to come up with designs than the ATBs but I love both |

These look great!
I've been looking through my proof sets 2007-2012 and have to think that much of the detail will be lost on the proof quarter. The new proof process just kills the designs for me.
Here's to hoping 2013 will be a fruitful year and I can make the jump to 5oz pucks!
I actually really like the choice for the Great Sand Dunes. While I've never been to CO we have some rather large dunes in Michigan and they are instantly recognizable to me.
Also, I'm partial to bears; would have been nice to have a bear make the cut.
