This is the third request I am making for help on behalf of my friend who inherited her Dad's coin collection. I've been able to identify all except three coins and this is the third. It is a small coin, smaller than a cent, and appears to be made out of silver. There isn't much detail but the photos are as good as I could make them.

Appreciate any help you can give. Thanks again.

Hi.

I would guess at a real or 1/2 real from one of the Spanish colonies approx 1800 (Bolivia , Chile)

yes, a spanish real, I think also, it is carol IIII.

Reverse pic is upside down but appears to be Spanish colonial portrait coinage of Carlos IV (IIII on this coin). 1801? Probably 1/2 real at this size. Reverse reads HISPAN ET IND R, and then a mintmark. Here are some examples:

Actually, to the right on this pic I think I can make out mintmark M with small o above, for Mexico City. Same as one coin on the link above.
