so looking at the bill on DNA'S post it looks like this set is 42.00?
i hated mchenery on paper but it looks good on here. perry's looks like it dosent belong to the series but like it. love them all

Yea right now the mint has the silver proof quarters around 42. So about 49/50 with shipping. 10 dollars a quarter basically which isn't to bad

Got my set last week along with the last two 5oz pucks and the very last of the Acadia/Denali S rolls before sellout. Having the '13 silver proofs in hand is a vastly different experience than seeing them abstractly on paper. A couple of them are distinctly different, but still are uniformly part of the continuing set. As different as McHenry and Mount Rushmore are, they add variety and if and when the Mint issues the pucks, they will be fabulous enlarged. Very good set overall.

so what would be a better purchase, this set or the 2013 american eagle? I've never bought silver..

If you are buying silver then the bullion ASE (not the W for sale by the Mint) would be your choice If you are collecting silver coins then the silver quarters, the W ASE, or the proof ASE (or all three) would be your choice Edited by Foxwoods Man

The perry and McHenry look good on the proofs, but how will they look on the business strikes with no contrast between the pillar or the fireworks and the surrounding fields? I suspect they will not be attractive pieces.

Even on the BU Denali-S and Mint Set Denali P-D, the ram is easier to spot at first glance (suggesting the BU Denali-S is struck in the same manner as the Mint Set coins). A run of the Silver Proof ATB Quarter Sets from 2010-on would be perfect for any ATB Quarter collector. The value of silver, plus you can see how different the designs look as Proofs. I must say my 2013-D White Mountain Quarters look pretty good, but the Fort McHenry in particular might not translate so well to BU finish.  Edited by DNA

Nice! I ordered a set last week and can't wait to get my hands on it. We have a new baby due in July so trying to do a 2013 collection for him/her.

Weezer, throw in a 2013 Panda... those are nice and kids love animals! I am going to pick up one for each of my daughters.
I have a roll of White Mountain San Fran mints on the way. I cant wait to see them in hand. I likely wont get my silver proofs until Bday/xmas in December... that whole routine is getting old, lol

@DNA: those White Mountain D's are really nice, semi-proof like coins. They must be continuing what they were doing in Denver for the Denali quarters, making them super brilliant and deeply struck. Way, way better than the Philly quarters, the difference is noticeable in hand.

I don't know if I'd call the Denali-D business strikes "deeply struck", considering their shiny finish tends to blend the ram into the background more than on Mint Set or S coins.
The White Mountain-D business strike works better in this brilliant finish, because there's no animal being obscured. (same deal with El Yunque's frog on D business strikes)

If you are investing in silver then you should by silver as close to spot as you can...that would be the bullion version.
If you are collecting coins the the W is a great way to do both...silver and a collectible...at a higher premium over spot ($28 vs. $2.50)
I buy both each for different reasons...I collect and sell graded W's and I invest in bullion rolls...
