Has anybody heard of a 1843 Seated Liberty dime doubled die. The 1843 date is doubled...any help please.

The earlier dated SL coins in all denominations are notorious for having repunched dates. If you can corral up a photo or two, preferably close ups, we can better gauge the variety.

Not likely a DDO, more likely a repunched date

Variety 102

Obverse 2: Repunched 1843/1843

Reverse B: Perfect Die, Partial Flash Around Bow Loops

there is also a 102a which is the same obverse but the later state reverse die shows shattering and it is very obvious

both are semi-scarce varieties with the latter being a bit more of a rarity

I'd love to see pics of it
